Remember this about the walk we make; we are joined by Christ, Himself, with people who are believers. Faith is "re-explained." Grace is "re-experienced." Folks are "re-turned" to Christian communities to share their experience, the walk along the road to Emmaus.
Sponsorship -- is the most important job of all!!!

Your pilgrim should be a person who is an active and dependable member of a church.
Your pilgrim should be someone who wants to grow spiritually and have expressed that they are hungry for "something more" in their walk of life.
You should consider these things, also: Do they represent a cross section of your church?
Do the laypeople and clergy within your body of worship respect them?
